Revised reflection

I feel that my podcast came out really well. I think that I captured my audience very well. I felt like my topic could have been geared toward anyone that has an open and loving heart, and this is what I used to focus on my listener base. I put a lot of thought into how I was going to focus, and I went with the “you” to set a feeling of talking directly to my listener. I wanted the person hearing my podcast to feel like this was specifically for them! Along with my audience I feel that my purpose was very clear in this topic. I think that the individual listening to my podcast knew exactly where I was going with it, and there wasn’t much room for confusion. I was looking to inform people of the joys and the growing need for volunteers, and I think was greatly accomplished! Now as for my organization on the topic, I feel I could have worked a little harder on this point. I started my podcast all over the place. I took a lot of my ideas and just put them down, then went in and rearranged how they were said. I think my point was brought across very well, however I still feel that I could have pieced it together a little better! For the presentation part of it all, I was extremely nervous recording this project. I have a hard time talking in front of people, and this just felt like the whole world could hear me whenever they want to. My voice was shaky and no matter how many times I tried to re-do it, it always seemed to come out sounding exactly the same! However I feel like I did a good job of presenting my information and getting my point across. I am very happy with the way the final recording came out. I think it had an over all good tone and feeling. Not only was I able to get my point out, I was able to do it with confidence! The final recording could have used some opening and closing music, but I didn’t know how to do that very well. I didn’t want to mess it up at all so I just left that part out. If I knew more about the program and technology I feel I could have made my podcast a lot better! Finally my research was biased mainly on my own personal knowledge about the subject. I used the official Special Olympics website for a few ideas and some background support, but the majority of the information came from my participation in the events over the years. I hope everyone enjoyed listening to what I had to say!!!

Final project!

I am planning on doing my final project on living with disabilities! My webtext is going to be geared towards how to handle living with someone that has a physical or mental handycap. I want to give people a place to find out who is there to help them when they are feeling low, where to get some answers about different disorders/diseases, and to know everyone goes through most of the same problems when raising a child with a disability. I am going to focus my podcast on my personal experience with my little brother. I know first hand what it is like to answer all the questions about his problem, and to have people just be plain ol' mean! I hope to show everyone that there is always hope out there, the cloud always has a SILVER trim! I hope everyone enjoys it as mych as I like talking about it!!

reflection of podcast

I feel that my podcast came out really well. I feel I could have done more with music as in introducation and conclusion, but I did not have the full knowledge of how to do this, and I find technology a bit frustrating. However, I do feel that I was able to capture the audiance I wanted. I know that everyone has the ability to volunteer time, sometimes its just about finding the right thing to volunteer your time for. There might have been more orgazination needed, more of a flow for the listeners, but overall I feel it was very understandable and easy to listen to. Over all I was very proud of how the whole thing turned out. I dont feel that there are alot of areas that need more work, maybe my voice (tone) but that was due to inexperience and nervousness. I think everyone has that problem expecially if this is their first time working on a podcast! I hope everyone else liked it as much as I liked doing it!

Podcast: Volunteering?

I am doing my podcast, as I said, on volunteering for the special Olympics. I feel htat volunteering time and energy is an important ascpect to an individuals life. Not only is it a way to make a difference in your own life, but you can make an incredible difference in a total strangers. I am planning on informing poeple on how exactly they can become involved with volunteer work. Wheather its for only one day a year, or if they want to make this a year round hobby. Some people have more free time then others to help out, while some people have a large heart but dont have the time to volunteer. As I stated in my webtext, volunteers come from many different backgrounds and contribute in many different ways. People from the ages of five all the way to 95 can have an impact on an athletes life. I hope this podcast informs everyone how to get involved and how to MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!!!! lemme know what you all think... what I need to focus on more, and what is already pretty well known!

Reflection

When I did my webtext on the Special Olympics it all came so easy to me. This is something I have been involved in for many years and I hold it dear to my heart. I chose this topic because I thought anyone and everyone that read it could benifit from it some how. Not only is it informative I tried to make it interesting as well. I know that a lot of people don't know much about the Special Olympics and I figured this would be an easy way to find out more. I picked the official colors of the Special Olympics as my background because they are vibrant and loud. The bright red should draw anyone's attention from the get go. As I said before, it was very easy for my to write on the topic which in turn I hope makes it easy to read as well. I hope everyone enjoys reading and learning about the topic as much as I enjoyed writing about it!
